FAECTOR Research Project (FRP)

The FAECTOR Research Project (FRP) is the most exciting international study trip that has been a longstanding event organised by FAECTOR's FRP committee. This trip (actually more of a journey) is focused on ambitious second-year students of Econometrics (and third year BSc2 students) that are interested in widening and enriching the perspective of their study.

This study project consists of two parts. The first part is an internship at companies that are interesting for econometricians, which will be arranged by FAECTOR's FRP committee. Think about companies within logistics, finance or marketing like Nederlandse Spoorwegen (NS), de Nederlandse Bank and T-Mobile. When you apply for FRP you mention your preferences for a specific field in your application. The committee will take all preferences into account when they select the students for the participating companies. Under supervision of a contact within that company and a teacher from the Econometric Institute you have to write a research report about the research that you have done the company. This report is a good exercise for your Bachelor thesis which you have to write a few months after your internship.

After the valuable working experience you will be rewarded with an amazing trip that ventures to a place outside the European Union every year. On this trip the focus lies on experiencing cultural activities, absorbing all of the famous and unique locations, companies and local universities the destination has to offer. Of course the local nightlife has to be enjoyed as well and there will be time for relaxing moments; something a good summer holiday has to have.

Apply here for the FAECTOR Research Project before the 6th of April 23:59! For this application you need to send us your CV, gradelist and motivational letter. After the application deadline we will invite you for an interview. Would you like to arrange the internships and organise the trip yourself? Apply here for the FRP Committee! You can find more information about the FRP committee of 2018-2019 here.
