Cycling Dinner

Why are we only halfway March and am I already spending my last euros? When was the last time I had a nice dinner? Confronting problems that bother all of us econometrics students. We therefore thought of a solution: a cycling dinner, followed by some affordable drinks at Concordia. Why is this the solution? Read on!

First let us explain what a cycling dinner is. You sign up in pairs and each couple gets the task of making a starter, main course or dessert, which will be served at one of your homes. Each course will be enjoyed by you and two other couples, each course at a different place with different people. So, after each meal, you'll bike to the next address. We will tell you which addresses you will be visiting on the day of the cycling dinner itself, so it will be a surprise whose house you will be eating at. We will also try to make sure you don’t have to bike too far!

The timetable for the 29th of March looks as follows:

18:00 arrive at your starter address

19:00 arrive at your main course address

20:30 arrive at your dessert address

21:30 drinks at Concordia

As the slogan suggests, the theme of this dinner is ‘vacations’. Every couple will be given a holiday to represent. Be creative in the way to represent your holiday! Try, for example, to include it in the food choice or wear an outfit which is representative.

Now let’s explain why this is the solution to all the problems mentioned before: firstly, it costs only 5 euros per person to participate, and we will reimburse your cooking expenses up till 15 euros for starters and desserts and up to 20 euros for the main course. Secondly, dinner is something we all must have, and it is way more fun to share it with friends. Thirdly, beers are only 50 cents at the drink in Concordia afterwards!

The deadline to subscribe is Sunday the 25th of March at 23:52 and there is a limited number of spots available, so make sure you subscribe in time! If you are going to be late because of tutorials or other reasons, this is no problem! We can keep that into account and make sure you can join from the main course on if you tell us in advance.
