The Hague Trip

Note: This event is only for first year students following the International Econometrics or BSc2 Programme

Need to take a little break from books and notes after first exams? Curious to know more about the Dutch culture? Ready to meet new mates? And even hopefully cross the monarch Willem-Alexander in the street? Or just in for a fun day with your fellow freshmen?

On Saturday the 2nd of November, the Freshmen committee organises a cultural fun trip to The Hague plenty of activities! The perfect opportunity to relax and have fun after a stressful week of exams in the living museum Escher in The Palace and visit its worldwide recognized permanent exhibition dedicated to the world-famous, imaginative artist M.C. Escher. Wanting to visit the house of the Dutch democracy afterwards, without forgetting the office of the Dutch Monarch or the numerous embassies as well as one of the most important courts in the world. There is no better way to start this second block isn’t it?

What we’ll do there remains a surprise, but we promise you that you’ll have seen a lot of this big city by the end of the day. And for sure you will have your free time to do some shopping in the numerous pedestrian streets full of different brands.

We’ll gather in the main hall of Rotterdam Centraal at the Feyenoord shop from where we’ll be heading to The Hague by train. Make sure you bring your OV card and certainly remember to top it up as we will use it to travel by tram to a peculiar and unforgettable destination to finish our journey before going back to Rotterdam. However, we’ll arrange group tickets* for internationals and those who do no have discounts with their OV cards on weekend. You will be asked to pay this ticket later on. (Group discount is larger than 40%)

Prepare yourself for a great day away from studying for only €10 in which dinner is included.

If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to ask them via fc@faector.nl, we’ll try to answer as soon as possible. We very much hope that you will join us, because certainly you will not want to lose this opportunity to visit the third biggest city of The Netherlands and the capital of South Holland!

See you on the 2nd of November!

*Group ticket means that you have to travel both directions with your group.
