FAECTOR Consultancy Project 2023
Have you ever considered becoming a consultant? The FAECTOR Consultancy Project (FCP) offers you the opportunity to step into a consultant role by helping non-profit organisations with data analytics projects, while at the same time allowing you to put your econometric knowledge into practice. This year’s organisations are KWF, War Child, the Dutch Heart Foundation (Hartstichting), WWF (in Dutch: WNF) and SNV. Here, you can read the descriptions of all cases.
You will get to work directly with one of these organisations and gain valuable experience as a consultant and improve both your analytical and soft skills. You will work in teams of five and participate in three professional workshops, provided by Amsterdam Data Collective, MIcompany and Riverwise. These training sessions will help you with the execution of the project. Additionally, every project will be guided by a professional data-consultant provided by the Amsterdam Data Collective and MIcompany.
Another advantage about the FCP is its flexibility. The workload is around five hours per week, depending on your availability and the demand of the organisation. The project will start on 23rd of March with a kick-off session and an introduction to all the projects. The final reports will be presented at the end of June. If possible, these presentations will be held at the company's location so that you will also get to visit the non-profit organisation and see what it is like to work there! Next to gaining valuable experience, this project also allows you to give back to the community by helping these organisations with a problem they would not have been able to solve on their own. Also, note that this project is worth 2 ECTS!
To participate, you must submit your CV, gradelist and a personal motivation of 700 words maximum. Note that you have to be Bachelor three or higher. Please be aware that your application has to be in English and should be anonymized. At the end of your motivation letter you can rank the five projects according to your preference.
If you have any questions, do not hesitate to contact us at fcp@faector.nl or visit the information session that will be held on Wednesday 8 March 17:00 in Langeveld 4.04.
The application deadline is Sunday 12 March 23:59.
