Commercial Officer

The Commercial Officer is the face and representative of FAECTOR towards all companies and recruiters interested in econometrics students. Within this position, you will build a strong network and get to know many people within the business world! Furthermore, your tasks are diverse because you supervise three challenging committees: Business Trip, Recruitment and ICansultancy Committee. 

FAECTOR is well known for its extensive collaboration with most top companies. You work together and advise them on their recruitment strategies. Since no company is the same, the challenge is to link the right company to the event!

To ensure you will have a great connection with the companies, your board year will start more intense than that of your fellow board members. You get to dive into your board year head first since you make most of the acquisition in the summer. It is an exciting and fun period in which you must work hard and learn a lot. It is enriching to achieve so much before the year officially starts. The companies you visit range from the biggest banks to specialised (strategy) consultancy companies. These interactions will make you very well-oriented in the job market. A big perk of this position in the board. 

After the summer you get in contact with even more companies than the ones FAECTOR is already in contact with. During your board year, you will be busy answering emails from companies with the final questions about future cooperation and ensuring that the companies sign their contracts. Furthermore, you will handle the partner relationship during the year, ensuring each partner gets the most out of our collaboration.

Even though these relationships are essential to FAECTOR, managing your committees is also a big part of your year. The Business Trip will allow students to experience cultural differences and get to know international businesses in another country outside Europe. Next to this, you are ultimately responsible for the website Econometrie.com. With the Recruitment Committee, which you supervise, you will ensure that the website offers the most relevant vacancies for quantitative students and graduates. Besides, you will supervise the ICansultancy committee, which organises a prestigious event in Amsterdam with the six most prominent strategy consultants.
