Financial Markets Tour (FMT)

The Financial Markets Tour (FMT), formerly Quantitative Finance Tour (QFT), is the investment banking tour for quantitative students in the Netherlands. This tour provides 24 students with a technical background, such as econometrics, a chance to become an investment banker for one week in London, the City.

Want to broaden your horizon by working in a foreign environment for one of the major companies in the world? Are you passionate about finance and a highly skilled quantitative graduate student? Then the FMT is the right event for you! The FMT is the event for students with an analytical background that are looking for an internship at an investment bank. Working for an investment bank is working in a fast-paced environment, but the thrill of the work you do is unlike any other job. Each year the FMT travels to the City, London's (and the world's!) financial heart. You and the other participants are given the unique opportunity to visit many preeminent banks like Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley and JPmorgan Chase. Previous editions of the FMT have proven that many students before you were offered internships and often even fulltime post-graduation jobs.

In previous editions students got to know investment banks in London, but also Dutch investment banks such as Kempen & Co and Rabobank. That way you can prepare yourself before going to London and compare the different working environments. Also this year the committee thrives to visit as many prestigious banks as possible. Since October the committee is working very hard to organise this edition. The FMT will be organised together with students from Delft University of Technology. The FMT is a combination of the Quantitative Finance Project from FAECTOR and the Delft London Financial Tour. By combining these tour and by aiming this tour at all quantitative students, we will make it the largest investment banking tour for quantitative students!

We are looking forward to visit London at the end of September, where we will work hard to get to know the banks and perhaps earn an internship, but we will also enjoy the nightlife there. Work hard, play hard!
