Apply for Excellence Programme 2025!

Are you a highly motivated and academically well-performing student? Are you a second-year or higher bachelor or pre-master's student in one of the Econometrics programmes? Then the FAECTOR Excellence Programme, organized in cooperation with the Erasmus School of Economics, might be something for you!

The Excellence Programme is a yearly extracurricular programme that challenges students to apply their econometric knowledge within a subject not treated in the regular curriculum. This is done through guest lectures, workshops and essays. Besides this, the programme is a great way to boost your CV!

This year’s topic is Econometrics and Geopolitics. In these turbulent times, where new geopolitical tensions seem to be emerging from everywhere, decisive action is essential. The everlasting rise of economic tensions, the influx of migrants fleeing misery and war, and heated political elections are driving us to a potential collapse of the current societal model that we live in. This is where our field of Econometrics comes into play. Being the basis of decision making in various sectors, from politics to healthcare, Econometrics provides students with the necessary knowledge to make a change in the world and to stabilise international relationships. With this topic, we aim to spark a healthy debate about, and emphasise the societal impact of econometrics in politics, economic stability, and changes in the demographics of a country.
